Answer to Question 1

Any of the following questions should be asked of a pig producer: Are they raised in
confinement (what kind of housing)? At what age are they weaned? What temperature are they
kept at? Are they vaccinated and/or dewormed? Is there the odor of ammonia where they are
housed? What are they fed? How many litters a year does the sow produce? What is done with
the waste products? How many are sick/dead?

Answer to Question 2

Any of the following questions should be asked a llama owner: Is this an only llama? What
do you feed it? Do you follow a regular vaccination and deworming program? At what age
was he castrated? What do you use your llama for?
