Answer to Question 1

A
Dying is the last stage of growth and development.

Answer to Question 2

C
Pathological jealousy and a need to control the partner's activities are red flags that herald later abuse. Abuse can occur in any relationship. It does not require a dysfunctional relational pattern, and usually victims are neither masochistic nor provocative toward their partners. Tendencies toward abusiveness are often concealed early in the relationship, and abuse can develop at any point.
