Answer to Question 1

C
Assertive communication helps a person meet his needs more effectively and is empowering. The other interventions help reduce impaired socialization, build future-oriented (long-term) goals, and enhance problem solving. Goal setting can also help reduce powerlessness but more so if the focus is on short-term goals at first, so the patient can achieve success sooner; success builds confidence, and confidence reduces powerlessness.

Answer to Question 2

These are the age ranges of the beginning and end of adulthood.
