Answer to Question 1

Limb deformities caused by parasites can occur in crias. Limb deformities can also occur due to improper housing and lack of adequate exercise.

Answer to Question 2

The monogastric stomach has one compartment. The alpaca stomach has three compartments. The first two are to help with the initial breakdown of food before being regurgitated. After the food is chewed, the alpaca reswallows it into the third compartment before it moves down the intestinal tract.
