Answer to Question 1

Organically grown fruits today look much better because of the more advanced techniques used in pest control. Also, much of the organically grown food is processed, and because defects can be removed before processing, the consumer never sees the blemishes in the product.

Answer to Question 2

The environmental concerns that have helped drive the growth of the organic agriculture industry include fear that pesticides are harmful to the environment and that they are destroying beneficial insects such as bees, lady beetles, and praying mantises.
