The seven levels of the classification system, from largest to smallest, are:

1 . Kingdom
2 . Phylum
3 . Class
4 . Order
5 . Family
6 . Genus
7 . Species

Answer to Question 2

The larvae of the moth Bombyx mori produces fibers that humans used to create silk. During the Middle Ages, there was a huge demand for silk in Europe, but it was only available in eastern countries. Explorers went out in search of new and better trade routes to these countries to help meet the demand. While one of these explorers, Christopher Columbus, was out searching for a new trade route, he ran into the New World.
