Answer to Question 1

Cells are the building blocks of life and form the basis for all animal and plant systems. Livestock producers, whether they realize it or not, work with animal cells. Most of the life processes that occur in an animal's body, such as reproduction, growth, and disease immunity, occur on the cellular level. Producers who balance feed rations, give vaccinations, or plan breeding programs work at the cellular level, because that is where life processes begin and/or function.

It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
