The grayish Caucasians have a reputation for building up large amounts of propolis. German or German Black bees produce large amounts of honey but are too aggressive for most beekeepers. Russian bees are relatively new to the United States, but with their parasite resistance they are hoped to help solve some of the serious problems producers have with parasitic mites.
