Rabbits can be raised by anyone under almost any climatic condition. Rabbits gain weight on a relatively small amount of feed, and they can be fed on a lower-quality feed than some animals because their digestive system allows them to use roughages. Rabbits are also used for several other purposes than meat. Finally, they are very prolific breeders.
