Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

The first group are the grains. Wheat, barley, oat, rye, millet, rice, quinoa, and amaranth are grains found in breads, cereals, and pastas. Cookies, cakes, pizza, and donuts are also in this category, but they contain only highly processed starch and usually have sugar added.
The second group are the fruits. This includes fresh apples, bananas, blueberries, grapefruit, peaches, and pears. Canned fruit, orange juice, and fruit juices are also in this group.
The third group are the vegetables. Vegetables include carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, lettuce, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cabbage; also included in this group are sweet corn, peas, potatoes, field beans, and soybeans.
The fourth group is the protein group, which includes meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, and dry beans.
The fifth group are dairy products. Milk, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream belong to this group.
The last group includes fats, oils, and sweets. Examples from this group include cooking oil, butter, margarine, soda, fruit drinks, candy, and other desserts.
