Answer to Question 1

Industry uses water in the manufacture of goods. Only a small portion of the water used in industry is removed
from the water cycle. Most is used for heating or cooling or as a part of the manufacturing process but is returned
almost immediately to the water cycle.



Answer to Question 2

The main types of irrigation systems are surface and sprinkler methods. Surface involves building a series of large
and small ditches to transport water. Sprinkler systems apply the water over the top of the soil.
