When individuals go to the supermarket, they pick only the unblemished products and
the remainder usually goes to waste. This puts the grower in a difficult position
because consumers want a high-quality product and do not want to pollute the
environment, but they are not willing to pay more for a product that is grown without
pesticides. This dilemma is solved using Integrated Pest Management.
