Answer to Question 1

Answers will vary, but may include suggestions such as manually removing them, using
nontoxic herbicides like boiling vinegar, tilling, using a natural fungus, or using natural
predators (biocontrol).



Answer to Question 2

Nonselective herbicides kill all plants to which they are applied. These herbicides are
used in places where no plant growth is wanted, such as parking lots and railroad yards.
Selective herbicides are chemicals that kill some plants but not others, such as broadleaf
plants growing in a lawn
