Answer to Question 1

As more of the world continues to grow and develop, the supply of nonrenewable fuels
such as petroleum will not be able to keep up with the demand; therefore, a renewable
source of energy such as biofuels is needed. In the United States, dependence on other
countries for fossil fuel supply and a growing public concern about nonrenewable
energy sources and harmful greenhouse gases have pushed the need to find alternative
fuels forward. Biofuel is a great alternative fuel source because it can be produced in our
own country and it is renewable and cleanburning.

Answer to Question 2

Renewable resources can be replaced like crops or trees, but nonrenewable energy
sources, such as coal and petroleum, are gone once they have been used up
