Answer to Question 1

A crosscut saw is held at a 45 angle and is used for cutting across or against the grain of
the wood. A rip saw is held at a 60 angle and is used to cut along or with the grain of the
wood.

The common kinds of squares are framing square, try square, bevel square, combination
square, and the speed square
