What are some of the key characteristics that can be used to distinguish between an angiosperm and a gymnosperm?

Answer to Question 1

An angiosperm often has showy flowers and s seeds that grow within the plant ovary. A gymnosperm normally does not have showy flowers, and often has needle-like leaves and cone-type fruits.
