Answer to Question 1

Place them in a sheltered outdoor location that receives early morning and late afternoon sun but is sheltered the rest of the day. After a week or two the plants can be moved to a brighter outdoor area but still should have protection from intense midday sun.

If the plant is a low-light species, it should be put in a location that receives only filtered sun all day.

Answer to Question 2
