Answer to Question 1

2. Depression.

Rationale:
People who are unusually sensitive to failure to achieve their goals are said to have self-critical traits. These cognitivepersonalit y features increase the likelihood that stressors will lead to depression. There is not enough information to determine if the client will develop heart disease, a musculoskeletal disorder, or diabetes.

Answer to Question 2

A
Cutaneous pain is caused by stimulation of the cutaneous nerve endings in the skin and results in a well-localized burning or prickling sensation. Visceral pain is less localized and more slowly transmitted than is cutaneous pain. Referred pain is not felt in the organ itself but rather is perceived at the spot where the organs were located during fetal development. Neuropathic pain is the result of abnormal processing of sensory input by either the peripheral or central nervous system.
