Answer to Question 1

D
Ventilation is stimulated by the concentration of hydrogen ions and amount of carbon dioxide in the blood. A decrease in blood oxygen or hypoxemia will also stimulate ventilation. Ventilation is not stimulated by an increase in bicarbonate ions in the blood.

Answer to Question 2

A
Walking rounds can be either nursing rounds, physician-nurse rounds, or interdisciplinary rounds. Walking rounds is a reporting method used when the members of the care team walk to each patient's room and discuss care and progress with each other and the patient. Rounds are more time-consuming than end-of-shift report but give the nurse and the patient the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of care together. Nursing rounds are also used as a teaching method.

Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. It most often affects middle-aged and elderly individuals, spreading to surrounding tissue in the lungs. The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.
