Answer to Question 1

B
A drug may be ordered on a prn or as needed basis. The drug is administered when, in the nurse's judgment, the patient's condition requires it. The order written indicates how frequently a prn medication can be given. A nurse cannot administer a prn medication more frequently than the order indicates without consulting with the person who wrote the order for a change in the order.

Answer to Question 2

B
A stat order is an order for a single dose of medication to be given immediately.
