Answer to Question 1

B
Conduction is the loss of heat to an object in contact with the body. Bathing a patient in cool or tepid water will lower the patient's temperature. Radiation is the loss of heat in the form of infrared rays. If the temperature of the body is greater than the surroundings, heat is lost from the body to the environment. Convection is the movement of heat away from the body's surface. The use of fans enhances convected heat loss by air. Respiration is the act of breathing.

Answer to Question 2

B
As a case manager, the nurse would track a patient's progress through the health care system. As an advocate, the nurse would act as a change agent. As an expert, the nurse would develop theory and conduct research.
