Answer to Question 1

D
Generally, diet restrictions include sodium, potassium, phosphorus, protein, and fluids. Carbohydrates and fats are increased to make sure energy needs are met and protein will be spared as a source of energy. Fluid restriction interventions would include placing the majority of allowable fluids on the day shift, the second largest allowable amount on the evening shift, and the least allowable amount on the night shift.

Answer to Question 2

D
Chronic renal failure, also known as end-stage renal disease (ESRD), is a slow, progressive condition in which the kidney's ability to function deteriorates. It is not reversible. Risk factors for developing chronic renal failure include diabetes, hypertension, glomerulonephritis, and polycystic kidney disease.

This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
