Answer to Question 1

B
MI is the death of heart tissue caused by obstruction of a coronary artery with atherosclerotic plaque or a thrombus or embolus. It is the leading cause of sudden death in adults. If a large coronary artery is obstructed affecting the left ventricle, myocardial tissue is damaged and the heart cannot pump efficiently; death may occur immediately if the client does not have adequate collateral circulation.

Answer to Question 2

A
The Cardiff method of fetal movement requires the mother to count the fetal movements at the same time each day until 10 movements are felt. The start and stop times are recorded. The health care provider should be contacted if there are fewer than 10 movements in 12 hours, no movement for 8 hours, or sudden violent movements followed by reduced movements.
