Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
A clean-catch specimen is a sample of urine that is considered sterile. A clean-catch specimen is preferred to a randomly voided specimen. This method of collection is preferred when a urine specimen is needed during a client's menstrual cycle. A void specimen is a sample of fresh urine collected in a clean container. A catheter specimen is a sample of urine collected in a sterile environment using a catheter. A 24-hour specimen is a sample of urine collected over a 24-hour period.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
The number of clients who receive home health care continues to rise. A factor that underlies this phenomenon is the growing number of chronically ill older adults in the population in need of assistance. Lack of health insurance, immigration, and urbanization are not factors that have been noted to increase demand for home health. Acute infections do not normally contribute to demand for home health.
