Answer to Question 1

4
Rationale: Interactions with the client are important to assess for appropriateness

Answer to Question 2

4
Rationale: Compromise would be the best strategy to attempt first. The staff nurse can approach the other nurse who requested the day off and see if a different day off would work. Perhaps the staff nurse could offer to work another day to allow the nurse a different day off. Avoiding the conflict means the staff nurse will have no hope of obtaining the day off. Collaboration is generally used to solve irreconcilable and longstanding problems, and so would not be the strategy of choice for this issue, because it is a new problem, and other approaches have not yet been tried. Competition has a win-lose result, and an attempt at win-win should be tried first.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
