Answer to Question 1

A
Type A fire extinguishers are used for ordinary combustibles such as wood, cloth, paper, and plastic. A garbage can fire would require a type A fire extinguisher.
Type B fire extinguishers are used for flammable liquids such as gasoline, grease, paint, and an-aesthetic gas.
Type C fire extinguishers are used for electrical equipment.
There is no Type D fire extinguisher.

Answer to Question 2

B
The nurse should first assess what type of weight gain the patient is concerned about. From there, the nurse can make recommendations on how to modify daily lifestyles. The nurse should not assume that the patient is eating too many sweets. It is inappropriate to dismiss a patient's concerns by telling her that she is being too emotional, or that no one else sees her problem. This would negatively affect the nurse-patient interaction.
