A patient taking a buffered, powdered formulation of didanosine should be instructed to:
 
  1. mix the powder with orange juice.
  2. stir the powder into 4 oz of water and drink immediately.
  3. prepare the solution at least 30 minutes before administration.
  4. mix the solution in the morning and sip small portions throughout the day.
