The client is taking GoLYTELY in preparation for a GI examination. What is the highest priority instruction that the nurse can give the client in preparing to take the medication?
 
  a. Have the solution at room temperature when drinking it.
  b. Plan to allow at least 8 hours to drink the solution.
  c. Fasting is not recommended for this examination.
  d. Plan to fast for 3 to 4 hours.
