Factor VIII concentrates can cause allergic reactions, which can range from mild to severe. Symptoms of a mild reaction include hives, rash, urticaria, stuffy nose, and fever. These can be managed with an antihistamine (eg, Benadryl).
Human albumin and norepinephrine are not indicated for allergic reactions.
Epinephrine is indicated for an anaphylactic reaction.
