Answer to Question 1

A
Gentamicin and cephalosporins are both nephrotoxic. This patient should avoid taking other po-tentially nephrotoxic drugs. Acetaminophen is not nephrotoxic and may be given for mild pain. Aspirin and ibuprofen are both nephrotoxic. Morphine is not nephrotoxic but is not indicated for mild pain.

Answer to Question 2

C
Cytochrome is dictated genetically and is very individualized.
Body weight may not necessarily be genetic.
Kidney function is a pathophysiologic response.
A drug-drug interaction is not a genetic response.
