Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
High levels of plasminogen in the uterus prevent clotting of the lining as the vessels shear off. Fibrinolysis, LH, and FSH do not contribute to clot prevention.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
For ribavirin, advise women of childbearing age to use barrier contraceptives if they are taking this drug. The drug has been associated with serious fetal effects, but it has not been associated with spontaneous abortions. Oral contraceptives should not be stopped and barrier contraceptives should be used in addition.
