Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Misoprostol is a synthetic prostaglandin that, like physiologic prostaglandin, protects the gastric mucosa. NSAIDs decrease prostaglandin production and predispose the patient to peptic ulceration. Misoprostol does not reduce gastric acidity (option A), improve emptying of the stomach (option B), or increase lower esophageal sphincter pressure (option D).

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
The risk factors for CAD that can be controlled or modified include obesity, inactivity, diet, stress, and smoking. Gender and family history are risk factors that cannot be controlled.
