Growth hormone releaseinhibiting hormone (somatostatin) inhibits release of growth hormone. Growth hormonereleasing hormone causes the release of growth hormone in response to low blood levels of GH. Thyrotropin-releasing hormone causes the release of TSH in response to stress, such as cold.
