ANS: Sympathetic vibration is the phenomenon whereby a string that is not played
creates a sound in response to a similar resonant frequency.



Answer to Question 2

ANS: A fret is an intermediate bridge, upon which a string is stopped, resulting in a
shortened vibrating length that varies the pitch of the string.
