Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

Wayang orang are shows performed by human actor-dancers; wayang kulit are shadow puppet shows. Dhalang in wayang kulit dhalang refers to the master puppeteer who must operate the puppets, perform all the narration and dialogue, sing mood songs, and direct the musicians in the accompanying gamelan (for about eight hours with no intermission). When used in relation to wayang orang (dance theater), dhalang is the person who sits with the gamelan musicians and provides narration and sings mood songs.

Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
