Answer to Question 1

A deep discharge battery can be discharged until it is nearly void of electricity. After the batteries discharge is nearly complete, it can be recharged over and over. During the deep discharge, the battery can produce a usable amount of voltage. Batteries that are not rated for deep discharge, will lose their usable voltage quickly as the battery begins the discharge process.

Answer to Question 2

P-type material is created when a family four element such as silicon is combined with a family 5 element
N-type material is created when a family four element such as silicon is combined with a family 3 element.
