Pressure difference across the damper pushes open the damper, reducing the pressure difference.

Clamp the tubing in the flaring block with approximately 1/8 inch above the block.
Lock the spinner is in place over the tubing Put a few drops of oil on the spinner.

Turn the spinner is until the flare is formed by pressing the tubing between the spinner and the block.
