Which way would the adjusting stem on an expansion valve be turned to decrease superheat?

An R-22 TEV system is operating with a suction pressure of 76 psig and a suction line temperature at the bulb of 50F. What is the actual operating superheat?

The saturation temperature for 76 psig R-22 is 45F The superheat is 50F - 45F = 5F superheat
