The compressor in an existing split system air conditioning system is being replaced. The actual line length is 35 feet. The factory charge for the condensing unit is 100 ounces. The installation instructions state that the factory charge assumes a line length of 15 feet and gives the per foot adjustment as 0.6 ounces per foot. How much refrigerant should be added to the system after the system has been evacuated?
