Answer to Question 1

A number of individuals might be appropriate to be assigned this task. The
important point is that this individual must be adequately informed about those tasks
completed in one week and which tasks must be performed in the near future. This
individual, possibly the superintendent, general foreman, project manager or project
engineer, must be able to grasp all the tasks involved along with the various constraints
that might be imposed. These should be developed with input specifically requested from
the various first line supervisors, subcontractors, and key suppliers.

Answer to Question 2

Activities to highlight might include those that involve limited resources. An
example of activities that might represent limited resources include activities that involve
the use of a crane or other specific type of equipment. Depending on the type of tasks
being performed at the time, it might be worthwhile to highlight activities involving
explosives (especially noting blast days), tasks the require the use of jack hammers,
welding machines, or pneumatic nailers, and in some cases it might we desirable to
identify especially those activities involving specific crafts, particularly those with a
scarcity of workers.
