What follows are strategies that can be used to communicate with employees about the safety and health plan:
 Face-to-face meetings
 Bulletin board notices
 Chalktalks convened by supervisors at the beginning of a shift
 New employee orientations
 Audio tapes that can be played while driving to and from work
 Videotapes
 Newsletters, memorandums, and bulletins
 Signs and posters
 Setting a positive example (the best way to communicate the importance of safety)

 Certain types of evidence may be perishable.
 The longer an accident scene must be isolated, the more likely it that evidence will be disturbed, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
 If the isolated scene contains a critical piece of equipment or a critical component in a larger process, pressure will quickly mount to get it back into operation.
