The Doppler technique measures the periodic change in velocity of a star due to the motion of a planet around it. The astrometric technique measures the periodic change in the position of a star on the sky as it responds to the motion of a planet around it. The transit technique measures the dip in star brightness as the planet moves in front of the stellar disk.
