Answer to Question 1

First, we must recognize that use is growing exponentially, so use of current rates
understates use in the future. Then we must recognize that current use rates are very large
by historic standards. Both of these mean that this statement is untrue.

Answer to Question 2

Most low-paying jobs involve doing things people would generally rather not do.
Recycling jobs are generally comparable in their desirability (or lack thereof) from the point
of view of dirtiness.
