The most basic and irrefutable proof that energy cannot be created out of nothing or completely destroyed is that
 
  a. Newton's laws of motion require it.
  b. no proof is necessary. Energy is energy.
  c. no experiments have ever proved the contrary.
  d. the Sun would long since ceased to shine.
  e. it would contradict Einstein's relativity.

Determine the cost of operating an electric range for a year. Assume the cost of electricity is 0.08/kWh.

a total of 614 kWh + 197 kWh = 811 kWh every year. The net cost of cooking is 811
kWh x 0.08/kWh = 64.88.
