What is simple harmonic motion?

A particle with charge q is located inside a cubical gaussian surface. No other charges are nearby. If the particle is at the center of the cube, what is the flux through each one of the faces of the cube?

Answer to Question 1

Simple harmonic motion is a vibration caused by a force that follows Hooke's law. It
is motion in which the acceleration is directed toward the center of the motion and is
directly proportional to the displacement from its equilibrium position.
