A recent meta-analysis of 13 controlled studies of ACT reported that:
 
  a. ACT, though popular among young clinicians, was no more effective than the control conditions.
  b. despite being less methodological rigorous than most CBT studies, they only produced a small effect size (< .30).
  c. ACT yielded a moderate effect size (> .60).
  d. ACT was only effective when combined with other, established treatments.
