A population consists of 3 women and 2 men. Assume that samples of size 3 are randomly selected with replacement from this population. Describe how you would go about finding the sampling distribution of the proportions of women.

Answer to Question 1

List the 125 different possible samples of size 3 and find the proportion of women in each sample. Since each sample is equally likely, each sample has probability 1/125. The sampling distribution of the sample proportions consists of the 125 sample proportions paired with the probability of 1/125.
