The two methods for reducing fat intake are (1) decreasing fat content, and (2) using fat replacers, substitutes, extenders, mimetics, or synthetic fat.

The process of recombining genes bearing a chosen trait into the DNA molecules of a new host is called recombinant DNA technology.
