Answer to Question 1

Both are difference tests. In the duo-trio tests, judges are given three samples, with the control or reference sample presented first. Judges are asked to identify the one that is different from the control. In the triangle test, judges are also provided with three samples, two of which are identical. Judges are asked to identify the odd sample.

Answer to Question 2

Climacteric fruit continues to ripen after it has been picked; e.g., bananas and tomatoes. Non-climacteric fruit does not ripen after picking. It needs to be harvested when ripe; e.g., grapes and oranges.
