What were some of the problems that Bantu farmers had to overcome in growing crops in the equatorial regions? Why did they halt their southward migration before they got to the coast of South Africa?

Answer to Question 1

The Bantu planted crops as well as raised animals. They needed to live where rainfall, temperature, and terrain were suited to their farming style. Millet and sorghum were their major crops, and they did not grow well that far south.
